REGULAR Monthly meetings:

The Detachment  meets on the 4th Saturday of each month, except for November and December, at  Lakewood Community Center, 1900 Lauderdale Drive, Richmond, VA 23238. Breakfast from 0830-0900 is $8.00 with Detachment Business meeting 0900-1030. Click on the red Lakewood Map button for parking and entrance nearest the meeting place.

       NOTE HHSVF FOUL WEATHER POLICY: If Henrico County Public Schools are closed or 

                      their opening is delayed by 2 hours or more, HHSVF is cancelled.

HHSVF meets next on Tuesday June 13, 2023. Note that we will meet on the 2nd floor of Publix in its Community Meeting Room at 2250 John Rolfe Pky, Henrico, VA 23233.

Our next speaker, ​Mr. Peter Behr, travelled to Vietnam as a journalist in 1966, 1967, and 1973 for Gannet newspapers. He spent 24 years at the Washington Post as a reporter and editor after working at the Baltimore Sun as its Washington correspondent. He currently reports for Politco's E&E News on energy and environmental issues.

​​​Doors open at 1115, the program begins at 1150, and the program will conclude by 1300.  Lunch may be purchased from Publix' Deli.
