The James M. Slay Detachment Honor Guard was formed in 2013 to render proper military honors to veterans of all branches of the service who have passed away. This is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to honoring those who served.
Services Provided
Rifle Salute
A formal rifle salute rendered by Honor Guard members as a final tribute to the fallen veteran.
Flag Folding
The solemn folding of the American flag, presented to the family of the deceased veteran with honor and respect.
Taps
The playing of Taps by a live bugler, the traditional farewell to a fallen service member.
